To me, an Aventador says "I have literally no imagination and far too much money". I recognize that it's very fast, but I honestly don't care. To me, it seems vastly overpriced. $400,000 for a 700HP car too wide to drive and too heavy to track is just ridiculous. Furthermore, it looks like it was designed to decapitate squirrels. You could get a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and still have money left over for a FRS/BRZ. I realize that the point of an Aventador is to show off, but they just bug me.
Am I insane?

Not at all. Lamborghinis, like Ferraris, are status symbols, unfortunately.

At least Lamborghini aren't liars. I hope.

That's the effect most super/hypercars have on me. Incredible machines but I have no desire to own one (not that I could anyway). The only recent one that interested me is the Mclaren P1.

Nope. I'd take a stock Gallardo instead. And probably an R8 before that.

The Aventador is bad value, but all supercars are. Past $70k or so, you're pretty much commiting yourself to diminishing returns. Yeah, far more speed can be had for far less money with more pedestrian machinery, but that's not the point; to get a Lamborghini new is to join a tiny handful of others who were some combination of lucky and hard working enough to do the same. For someone who maybe is fullfilling the dream they've had for a lifetime, the pricetag - whatever it is - will always be worth it.

Nope, you're just someone with a good taste in cars. The newest Lamborghini that is even remotely appealing to me is the Diablo, now that was a Lamborghini, not a Lambo (showoff car that 12 year olds drool over not knowing a BRZ is more fun).
I don't even like too many Ferraris or most supercars on the road today, especially the ones rich people buy as daily drivers.
These however, are appealing.

It's nice but it's not a well stocked 8 car garage nice.

Not insane at all. Cars like these I'd like to drive for an hour or two (on a track, or open highway), but then give it back. The only "super" car (I put that in quotes) I'd ever consider owning, given the means, is a Testarossa...which is more of a Grand Touring car than anything, but that's all Ferrari had to offer against the Countach, at the time...
ETA: A bit ago, I commented about old money vs new money Range Rovers...like those from say the mid-90's back were still the old money, stylish yet understated RR's, and the newer ones were the new money "dig me" RR's. I'd wonder if that same principle can be applied to Lamborghini's (though "understated" and "Lamborghini" rarely collide in the same sentence, but you get the gist...)

If it was economically priced and a practical value proposition it wouldn't be a Lamborghini. That is part of the package - it is a ridiculous car in every measure, which is part of the mystique.

Not insane. I've kind of settled into the opinion that cars like Lambos and Bugattis etc are so over the top, I'm not really that interested in all of the new and improved "S" or "superlegerra" type upgrades and models. I probably won't have enough expendable income to ever buy one, and if I did I definitely would not buy one haha. You can get far more automotive bang for your buck elsewhere. But if you want to buy status, by all means get an Aventador.

Not insane at all. The thing's like 80 inches wide and probably has very little ground clearance. Former owners (Diablo, Murciélago, Aventador) have all told me that Lamborghinis are very much Point A-to-Point A cars. You can't expect them to negotiate with every single driveway/parking lot entrance you'd come across if you DD them.
Even if you don't DD, yeah, you could get a few less expensive cars rather than just one very expensive one.
I think the Aventador and Huracan look too "angry" from the front in a forced way. The Huracan in particular looks very boring to me from the back.
I think the Murciélago had a much cleaner design. More going on than the Diablo, but not too much like the Reventon/Aventador.

I have no clue what they're like in terms of reliability, but there's a part of me that feels that Noble could do really well if they sold the M600 outside of the UK. Fabulous looking car that's received glowing reviews. The interior doesn't look too thrown-together either.
